I was born to entertain: Ranveer Singh

The actor Ranveer Singh, whose latest release "Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl" has become the rave reviews, believes that he was born to entertain and do not mind a live performance, if it makes others happy.

"Deep down in my heart I believe that I was born to entertain people. So I am the happiest that I am able to plug in a nice way exactly what I love doing the most to perform," he told a news conference here Aamby Valley annual New Year bash Glitterati 2012th

"If I can make even a single person performing a special New Year's Day, then it gives me immense satisfaction," he added.

Ranveer mused in 2011, 26, calls it the best year of my life.

"2011 has been the biggest learning curve in my life. What I have learned over the past year, I have not learned a cumulative total of my life - many of the things I've done the first time last year, how many people I've met," said Ranveer, who hit fame with its very fist movie "Band Baaja Baaraat 2010 '.

He spoke of his growth, and the actor said: "My growth as an artist and a man is tall, very fast pace over the past year. It was a fantastic year for me." Ranveer plays a conman of his latest film "Ladies vs. Ricky Bahl".

Ranveer is a signatory to the "looters" Sonakshi Sinha opposite, which is produced in the "Phantom" production house jointly initiated by Vikas Bahl, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

Cartoonist Mario Miranda cremated

Dead eminent cartoonist Mario Miranda was sent down in flames Monday after his funeral Mass Loutolim village near Panaji.

85-year-old cartoonist, and was awarded the Padma Bhushan, whose work spans six decades of the famous Goa, gave up the ghost
Yesterday, at the residence of Loutolim village, 40 km from here.

He has expressed a wish to his wife that she should be cremated and not buried after his death.

Miranda's coffin was carried Savior of the world to live in the village church, where Mass was celebrated Father Bolmax Pereira.

His final rites were conducted at a crematorium Pajifond Margao Goan town, five miles from his village.

Several dignitaries, including Prime Minister of Goa Digambar Kamat attended the last rites of the artist and his family visited.

Miranda, who received several national and international awards, including the "Padma Bhushan" in the country, the third highest civilian award Padma Shri in 2002 and 1988, is survived by two sons and wife Habiba.

Miranda got her first break when "The Illustrated Weekly of India" (now defunct) published some of his cartoons.

He got the opportunity to travel abroad after winning the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian Fellowship. He went to Portugal and then to London, where he worked in newspapers and television animation.

During his career spanning several decades, Miranda, illustrated several books including "Inside Goa" by Manohar Malgaonkar, "Family of Goa" and "Open Eyes" by Dom Moraes.
