In 'Rowdy Rathore' Gurdeep Kohli to play lady cop

Small screen actress Gurdeep Kohli is expected to his big screen debut! She bagged a cop role in "Rowdy Rathore", and even pulled off some stunts in Akshay Kumar-starrer.

"'Rowdy Rathore' is my first film. People will see me in a very different role and look in 'Rowdy Rathore'. I play a lady cop" Gurdeep told IANS.

The film, releasing Friday, is directed by Prabhu Deva and features Sonakshi Sinha in the female protagonist. It is touted as Akshay's return to his master a genre - action, and Gurdeep is excited as it gave an opportunity to try his hand at some stunts as well.

"I did not do a very heavy duty stunts in the film, but yes, I have to do some action. I have a sword-fight sequence," she said.

Gurdeep, who became popular with shows like "Sanjivani" and "Tere Naam Ka Sinndoor", is currently working on the second season of Disney Channel family show "Best Of Luck Nikki".
