Akshay Khanna in the film as a character called Mr. Bharat and represents the common man. Says writer-director Jafry 'film is a day-to-day life of common man, a la RK Laxman cartoons. "
All is good in the world, Mr. Bharat till he becomes involved in a life of exploitation and the subject of an unprecedented turn. It begins to fight against the virus plaguing the society as a whole. Akshay reveals, "Bharat is blissfully unaware of the goings in the country until he is caught by the system itself and the point of frustration. He then takes off and sets out to correct all wrongs."
And just like that happening in the country, where people stand united for the cause, it is a collective activity, which will help the film in Bharat. "It is only when each one should save a total of Bharat, that the circle of corruption have been violated." Rumy adds: "Corruption is aa vicious circle, where you can not get rid of the situation. While the plot is laced with humor, you have to make people think about it seriously." Gali Gali Chor Hai releases third February.
