Simon Katich in line for shock recall: Reports

Sydney: Opener Simon Katich could be a series of shock, calling the Australian Test team, reports said on Friday, just weeks after being disciplined for outspoken comments captain Michael Clarke.

36-year-old was reprimanded by Cricket Australia after months of hearing, he accused Clarke playing some of their axing from the Australian team, despite an average of 45 runs in 56 Tests.

Katich was controversially dropped by Cricket Australia contract list in June and he said he doubted whether he can play at their own again, as long as Clarke was a master.

But Channel Nine, the television advertising Cricket Australia, said Clarke was now restored to suppress Katich as the team looks forward to try to deal with their batting after the humiliating defeat of New Zealand earlier this week.

Katich manager Robert Joske told reporters that the player would be "ready, willing and able" to take place on top of him to remind voters that when Boxing Day Test against India.

"If this is the fact that Michael Simon speaks in election meetings I am very excited and I'm sure Simon would be delighted if he hears anything," said Joske.

"The coach and the President chosen Simon said the door was always open, and now is probably a very good time for him to walk through it.

"Potential coincides with the upturn in fortune Katich slump in form opener Phillip Hughes, who scored 41 over four innings against New Zealand, and seems likely to lose their place in the test side.

Katich has previously said he offered his troubles in 2009 Clarke locker room confrontation in which he allegedly grabbed by the throat, a new master.

Clarke has denied playing any role in axing Katich.
