The year was 1962, a time when our president was John Kennedy and the Cold War was at its height Cuban Missle Crisis with. It was also the year of a new hero came on the big screen, a man who had a way with women while dealing with some of the most ruthless, wicked sneaky around. He brought style and panache to what he had to do his homework for Queen and Country. Name: Bond, James Bond.

Producers Albert Broccoli and Harry Saltzman launched a franchise created by Ian Fleming, who was also a British intelligence agent and a journalist. His experiences cultivated in the creation of Mr. Bond, the first story was "Casino Royale", which was first made as a TV game with American actor Barry Nelson Bond trying. But it was not until 1962, when the public around the world flocked to the theaters to watch the movie first chapter of James Bond.

Ironically, the first book was filmed "Dr. No, "was the sixth book written Fleming. Broccoli and Saltzman search of the perfect man to play 007 with the names of Roger Moore Patrick McGoohan as opportunities arise. But it was Saltzman who discovered a Scottish actor who has starred in a Disney movie, "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" that caught his attention. Connery flair and dash for the character and the audience fell in love with James Bond from the get-go. "Dr. No" begins with another agent John Strangways, being shot by gunmen known as "Three Blind Mice". Strangways was investigating a Sino-German named Julius No (Joseph Wiseman) who lives in Key crab in an underground base. Apparently, the plan number is to disrupt U.S. space launch with a radio beam weapon. Bond is assisted by a CIA agent, Felix Leiter (Jack Lord) and a native boatman, Quarrel (John Kitzmiller) who worked with Leiter in the past.

The trail leads to a geologist, Dr. RJ Dent noted that some rock samples collected by Bond. But Dent secretly working for Dr. No and asked to kill Bond by placing a tarantula in her bed. But Bond wakes up in time and smashes the creature to death. In turn, the geologist Bond traps and kills him.

Bond then follow the trail of samples on an island where he meets Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress), who is collecting shells. It is first suspicious of the secret agent, but then she warms up to him as they were with Querelle, trying to outrun a "dragon" sent by our villainous doctor. Bond and Honey are captured and dinner No, who in turn told them of his plan to ruin the U.S. space launch.

Bond is then beaten and taken to a dungeon while honey is placed somewhere in the cave. Bond escapes and manages to overload the reactor that triggered the beam. This results in a duel to the death with Dr. No, No, honey that is defeated and is rescued by Bond.

Directed by Terence Young, the film seems a little dated now. However, this makes for a first exciting adventure that is elegantly paced and well written. Richard Maibaum and Johanna Harwood worked on the script that would be the framework for new adventures.

What was the most memorable for me was when the audience is first introduced to Bond through a deck of cards. Connery coolly delivered the signature line that set the tone for the rest of his performance. Another highlight was when Bond meets tarantula as he destroyed with his shoe, music, conducted by John Barry and written by Monty Norman, was beaten to the rhythm of the shoes of James Bond, which for tense moment.

While Sean Connery was very effective as Bond, Wiseman was having fun with his character Jules No, it's a shame that Wiseman was best known for the single character for his other works. Ms. Andress was the model for other beauties Bond after her, but she has not much to do here. Lord makes for a cool Felix, but this was his only appearance as a CIA agent. Kitzmiller brought a lot of authenticity to his role Quarrel, making him a good ally for Bond.

It was only a year later that we would have the second Bond adventure, this time an earlier Fleming novel that President Kennedy called "one of the best books I've ever read." He would later play video using voice Connery as its star.

"From Russia With Love" 007 is involved in a cryptographic device an organization called SPECTRE wants and is willing to sell to Russia, while trying to take revenge on Bond for killing Dr. No in the first film.

The film begins with a person who looks like Bond was attacked and killed by the ruthless assassin Red Grant (Robert Shaw). Grant was recruited by SPECTRE # 3 of the agent Rosa Klebb searching on Bond, while in turn hires an employee Klebb Russia, Tatiana (Daniela Bianchi) the bait. Tatiana think Klebb still working for another organization called SMERSH.

Apparently, Tatiana offers to defect with the camera as a lure both MI6, Bond employers, and the CIA. She said she would only go to Bond, this is how our secret agent flies in Istanbul. There he met the director of the Turkish agency, Ali Kerim Bey (Pedro Armendariz), which teamed up with Bond to get the goods to another Russian agent. Later, an ambush follows a gypsy hideout, where Bey is injured and Bond is rescued by Red, who is hiding in the dark.

The next night, Bond and seek responsible Bey Russian attack and kill climbing on a billboard for a film of Bob Hope. Bond goes to a hotel where he meets Tatiana, unaware that they SPECTRUM filming activities.

Tatiana then sets in the morning for a meeting that is shortened by a red attack on a Soviet consulate. Bond discovers the body as well as a plan to steal the device. Use to help Bey, Bond and Tatiana take the device and the board on the Orient Express. This sets the stage for one of the greatest battles in the history of James Bond Red takes our hero in a fight sequence very suspense aboard the bandwagon.

Leakage is time well Bond and Tatiana leak in the red truck, but not before Bond is attacked by a helicopter, which short circuits obligations wisely its engine and dive the aircraft and its occupants to death . When SPECTRE gets word of it, it is not a happy camper. He then asks Rosa to send a fleet of ships to kill Bond.

Bond and Tatiana managed to get on a boat, but it is immediately attacked. Wisely incorporating barrels unused, Bond manages to send the power boat and two head off to Venice. But a surprise is always hidden, that of Rosa Klebb who knows that the last attempt failed to get rid of 007. Is it too late to Bond discovered that Tatiana was with obligations and Rosa managed to Bond in yourself?

Once again, Terence Young helms this adventure is a little more length, but in fact a nail biter more exciting here. The formula is very strong with good solid writing yet Johanna Harwood and Richard Maibaum. The characters are well fleshed out here, giving more to grow Connery as James Bond.

This time, it is flanked by a cast including a very menacing turn by a very young Robert Shaw as Red Grant. He has the physique and behavior in this role of a cunning assassin. Lotte Leyna is also on the verge of Rosa Klebb. She plays the perfect evil spy with great joy for everyone. Ms. Bianchi is well cast here, having to do more here than is Ursula Andress in "Dr. No". Not only does it play well off Connery, but it was the choice Connery as leader of this film.

Cinematography great Ted Moore, Peter Hunt Edition flows, and John Barry score solid also help to give the film a gripping edge.

"From Russia With Love" may be setting the table for the other Bond films. He doubled the gross of the first tranche and for some it was the best of the series. But the next film, a year later, put the mark in terms of gadgets and a henchman may seem just unbeatable. But it will be in the next episode I dive into the canon because Bond celebrates 50 years in the film.
