Poster Printing - How to Create the Perfect Poster

Using posters to promote your event or product is a very effective and creative advertising. It is also an extremely cost-effective advertising. If your posters are correctly placed in the areas of high traffic, you can easily expose your event, product or brand to hundreds if not thousands of people every day.

Before starting the design process, there are some things you should keep in mind.

What the poster should do?
The poster is simply "know"?

Important: Just because you have the latest version of Microsoft Word or a drawing program base does not make you an effective poster designer. There are certain guidelines that you must follow when developing effective and eye-catching displays in terms of font, color, size, etc.

A poster professional will be able not only to provide you with a great design, but also advise you on the correct paper type according to where the poster will be displayed. For example, a poster that faces south, away from the coast and therefore exposed to high levels of UV rays and rain should be printed on paper different from a poster that will be displayed on Inside, in a poster frame.

Keep your initial ideas of simple design is paramount. Choose a design that can identify your market. Do not overload the paper and keep your text simple, so that all ages and different types of potential customers passing by will be able to understand it. Another factor that you should consider is the type of ink that you will use and the printing method you should use. If your poster will be used as a graphic display at a trade show, for example, you will require a very high quality finish. However, if your poster is one of many, advertising an offer speed, you may want to consider a more economical finish.

For high-end finishes, systems inkjet printers are very commonly used. However, this method is expensive and is not worth using if you need more than, say, 20 posters. More than that, and you'll need to consider offset printing. This method involves a bit of time at the beginning of the printer. It will create a metal plate which is then used to quickly print large series of posters or any other type of printing for this question. If you are looking for a cheaper option then maybe a printing system based toner might be more appropriate for you. Using this method allows you to print economically very medium and large series of posters, but about 70% of the quality of an inkjet or litho-based system. Everything depends on the purpose of your poster.
